Grouping Strategies for Gifted Learners: The Teacher's Role
Grouping is a predominant method for serving gifted learners today. Creating balanced classrooms is critical to success in the model. However, placing students in together in classes is just the first step. What happens after students are placed determines the effectiveness of the model. Dr. Brulles will provide suggestions, tools, and methods gifted cluster teachers can use to guide gifted learners in the cluster classrooms. Participants will learn how to manage flexible learning groups in a mixed ability class, plan for different levels of learners, and communicate progress with parents.
