[UAGCNews] SENG Conference Volunteer Opportunities

Utah is hosting the 25th Anniversary SENG Conference July 18-20,
2008 at Little America Hotel in Salt Lake City.  The conference
depends on the efforts of a many wonderful volunteers! You are
invited to get involved! 

 

Please note that the early registration deadline has been
extended to May 31.  If the discount for early registration does
not show up when you register online, indicate in the comments
box that you are registering early.  The amount charged to your
credit card should be the early bird amount.  Any problems, call
the SENG office.  Do the same if you print off the form to mail
in (it indicates a May 1 date).  Just indicate that you are still
within the early registration deadline and would like the
discount.  If you are volunteering, be certain to indicate
"Conference Volunteer" in the comments and a volunteer discount
will also be applied (see below).

   1) a complimentary Pre-Conference Registration (valued at $75)
or 

   2) $25 off your conference registration.

The amount will be deducted from your registration BEFORE your

Before the conference, I want to help:

 Preconference: Stuff Conference Bags (Th 2-3 hours)

 Preconference: Create Hospitality Bags for 5 Keynote Speakers
with local items (obtain local donations)

 Preconference: Loan 3 coolers with ice (Fri noon)

 Preconference: Purchase Juice Boxes/Bagged Snacks for Children's
Program Friday (SENG pays cost)

 Preconference: Obtain 3 Silent Auction Items

 Preconference: Work at hotel to prepare baskets/display/tag
items (Th afternoon)

 Preconference: Transfer Silent Auction Items to Hotel (W
afternoon)

 Preconference: Make contact with 3-5 potential business sponsors
(give info to Amy Price, Exec Dir)

 Preconference: Loan projector that connects to computer for use
during conference

 Conference: Take candid photos (download to SENG computer)

 Conference: Greeter/Runner - 2 hr shift during conference

 Conference: Provide Keynoter transportation to/from airport

 Conference: Teach one kid/teen class (Sat 75 minutes)

 Conference: Usher kids from session to session Saturday

 Conference: Assist with Kid Lunch Saturday
