Behavioral Management of Gifted Children
by Dr. Paul Beljan, Pediatric Neuropsychologist

Dr. Paul Beljan

Paul Beljan, PsyD, ABPDN, ABPN, is the past president of the American
Board of Pediatric Neuropsychology. He completed two post-doctoral
fellowship training programs in pediatric psychology and pediatric
neuropsychology. He is one of the co-authors of the book Misdiagnosis and
Dual Diagnoses of Gifted Children and Adults: ADHD, Bipolar, OCD,
Asperger's, Depression, And Other Disorders.

Gifted children often display uneven development and may not respond to
traditional forms of behavior management.  In this presentation, Dr.
Beljan will teach a behavioral management approach that is based on
neuropsychology.  He will present practical explanations for imposing
structure, consistency and routines in a brain based approach to the
emotional management of gifted children.
