Teaching for High Potential: Differentiation by Design

Obtain the latest research on effective differentiation from
national experts, Dr. Susan Baum and Dr. Sandra Kaplan. Both of
these renowned educators will provide keynote and breakout

Association for Gifted Children Annual Conference. The conference
will be held from January 31 to February 2, 2008 in Salt Lake
City, Utah. 

Dr. Baum consults nationally and internationally on
differentiated curriculum and instruction, the emotional needs of
children, and on meeting the needs of twice exceptional and
special population gifted children. Dr. Kaplan's primary area of
concern is modifying the core and differentiated curriculum to
meet the needs of gifted learners.

A former President of the National Association for Gifted
Children and a distinguished leader in the field of gifted
education, Dr. Kaplan is Clinical Professor in Learning and
Instruction at the University of Southern California's Rossier
School of Education. She has authored articles and books on the
nature and scope of differentiated curriculum for gifted
students.

 Dr. Baum is a dynamic and popular presenter with over 30 years'
experience in the public schools as a classroom teacher, special
education teacher, teacher of the gifted, learning disabilities
specialist, and an educational consultant. She consults both
nationally and internationally on differentiated curriculum and
instruction, and the emotional needs of children
