Carol A Tomlinson, Distinguished Resident and Professor of
Educational Leadership, Foundations and Policy at University of
Virginia will speak at Westminster College on Wednesday, February
7, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gore Auditorium of the Gore School of
Business. Her lecture, "Differentiating Instruction: Teaching in
Response to Today's Learners," will address how teachers can
better meet the needs of all learners. The event is free and open
to the public. 

Tomlinson is an expert on altering classroom curriculum to
facilitate different styles of learning. 
Specializing in differentiated education for gifted and
struggling learners, Tomlinson works throughout the US and abroad
helping teachers develop more responsive classrooms and to
encourage creativity and critical thinking. 

Tomlinson is the author of over 100 articles, book chapters,
books and professional development materials on curriculum for
teaching differentiated education.
