HB0095 – Accelerated Learning Program Amendments

This bill modifies the State System of Public Education Code by authorizing the use of appropriations for Accelerated Learning Programs for International Baccalaureate programs.
 
UAGC Position:  This bill gives state support to the International Baccalaureate (IB) program.  This program provides a benefit to gifted and talented students.  In the bill's current form, it maintains funding for other accelerated learning programs while providing additional money in support of IB.  This is an excellent opportunity to increase the resources and programming available for the gifted and talented. We would encourage you to contact your House Committee Members today!
